Today s social networks aren t really that social sure, they connect you and let you stay up to date with family, friends and colleagues, but they don t connect you to the universe of people outside of your current networks that shares your likes and passions. One of the largest areas where people display extreme passion is sports. Sports goes across all ages, races, genders and cultures people are passionate about sports because it gives them a sense of belonging and simplicity along with inspiration and unscripted theater. Imagine being able to engage and exchange with people anywhere in the world simply based on your common interest in an activity, game or a particular team, and then to have a degree of confidence in actually meeting these people if you want to share an activity. IntroMe Sports is a mobile platform that enables people to discuss and engage around the topic of sports and can then lead to introducing and connecting them to each other with a degree of trust. We make suggestions of people we think you will enjoy meeting, based on the sports and activities you are interested in, as well as information collected from various existing social networks. We address the fear of meeting new people online by using our proprietary TrustGuard system, which is an indicator of how real a person is, based on analytics collected from various social media accounts. The higher the TrustGuard score, the higher the degree of confidence that the person you re talking to is real. People have the need to connect with others we are social animals by nature. College kids are moving away from existing social platforms such as Facebook as it only really lets them keep in touch with their friends and family back home and does not fulfill their need to connect with new, like-minded people. College sports teams in particular have a real following amongst the student body and local community, along with alumni, and IntroMe Sports is the perfect platform to let them connect and engage. Our aim is to build a vibrant community of sports enthusiasts that will share their stories, connect and meet. We then build a business by creating a transaction layer on top of this community, whether it comes from service charges, in-app purchases, event promotion or targeted brand advertising.
